About Me

Hi! My name is Alisha. I'm a freelance writer, editor and beauty expert. When I was a little girl I can remember saving my money to buy fashion magazines and facial masks - beauty has been my thing since I can remember. I became a master esthetician in 2007 and worked in spa treatment rooms until I finished a degree in strategic communications from the University of Utah. While in school people would ask me what I wanted to do with my degree, my response, "work in public relations for a skin care company." After a couple of internships I landed my dream job in PR and marketing for a high-end French skin care line (law of attraction much?).

While working my corporate PR job I began freelancing (in addition to being my family and friend's source for beauty trends, eyebrow waxes and spray tan applications). I've written for a variety of publications including DAYSPA, BEAUTY LAUNCHPAD, Charlotte's Book, Beauty News NYC and SpaInsider.com. I'm concentrating mostly on freelancing these days and look forward to expanding my portfolio (hey Vogue, I'm coming for you!).

I live in Utah with my husband and baby girl. I love being in nature, oil painting, reading, spending time with friends, traveling, writing and chasing my zen. I am PR-friendly and would love to try new launches for consideration, though opinions will always be my own.
